Job summary

IMEG Corporation is seeking a 2027 graduate in Chemical Engineering for hands-on design and project execution in a Boulder, CO setting. The role offers mentorship, training, and growth opportunities from day one, collaborating with experienced engineers on chemical processes and client-focused solutions.

You will contribute to project planning, technical calculations, site field work, and documentation while supporting budgets, deadlines, and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications.
• Skilled in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Plant 3D.
• Ability to travel up to 5% with occasional overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Interact with clients to understand their needs, gather project requirements, communicate technical information effectively, and build client relationships through professional communication.
• Support the execution of consulting projects and assist with project planning and scheduling to meet deadlines and objectives.
• Document design decisions and client instructions while monitoring project design progress.
• Analyze low to medium complexity engineering tasks and collaborate with senior engineers and consultants to develop practical and efficient solutions.
• Develop Process Flow Diagrams, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, and assist in the development of equipment and instrument specifications.
• Assist in process controls design and development and perform and document technical calculations associated with design tasks.
• Perform field work to document existing conditions and current installations.
• Support cost estimate development, including quote solicitation from vendors, and assist in bid package documentation development.
• Review project construction progress and participate in quality control processes to ensure engineering designs and solutions meet quality standards, industry standards, and client requirements.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in chemical engineering, and contribute to research, development, and innovation efforts.
• Prioritize safety in all aspects of engineering work and identify and mitigate potential safety risks.
