Job summary

IMEG is hiring a Chemical Engineering Intern in Boulder, CO for a 10-12 week summer program. You will work with engineers on design, analysis, and implementation oversight of chemical processes, gaining exposure to industrial life sciences and pharmaceutical production support.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop PFDs and P&IDs, assist with equipment specs, and participate in project documentation, cost estimates, and field data collection.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a BS in Chemical Engineering.
• Strong interest in design consulting.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, CAD software, and BIM.
• Clear oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with discipline system design per code and IMEG standards.
• Research commercially available equipment.
• Support client relations and project documentation.
• Develop PFDs and P&IDs.
• Assist in equipment and instrument specifications.
• Perform field work to document conditions and installations.
• Conduct design calculations and support cost estimates.
• Assist process controls design and bid package documentation.
• Review project documents for accuracy before final checks.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and PMs to deliver integrated solutions.
