Job summary

IMEG, Idaho Falls, ID, is hiring a Mechanical Engineering New Graduate for hands-on design, analysis, and project execution. You’ll work with experienced engineers to provide mechanical system solutions for industrial, manufacturing, and MEP projects, with mentorship and training from day one.

You will assist in project budgeting, client communication, and cross-functional collaboration while growing expertise in high-performance, energy-efficient building design aligned with MEP2050 and AIA2030.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and analysis of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems, creating detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to code requirements and IMEG standards.
• Support consulting project execution as part of a project team, collaborating with senior engineers and consultants to develop practical and efficient solutions.
• Interact with clients to understand needs, gather project requirements, communicate technical information effectively, and build professional relationships.
• Assist in project planning and scheduling tasks to meet project deadlines and objectives.
• Assist with documenting design decisions and instructions from clients while monitoring project design progress.
• Analyze low to medium complexity engineering tasks and propose innovative solutions.
• Participate in IMEG quality control processes to ensure engineering designs and solutions meet IMEG quality standards, industry standards and client requirements.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering, and contribute to research, development, and innovation efforts within IMEG.
• Prioritize safety in all aspects of engineering work and identify and mitigate potential safety risks associated with mechanical systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals.
