Job summary

Up Campus Management is seeking a New Development General Manager for Blume on Ivy in Charlottesville, VA. The role leads opening, lease-up, and ongoing operations, balancing strategic oversight with hands-on leadership to hit financial and occupancy goals.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of new development lease-up experience and a strong background in property management operations, budgeting, and team leadership. Onsite role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or comparable relevant experience in student housing, property management, or a related field.
• 3+ years of new development lease-up experience or 600+ beds experience in lease-up environments.
• Experience supervising onsite property management teams.
• Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and NOI management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee opening and stabilization of a newly developed student housing community.
• Lead onsite team and coordinate with regional leadership and corporate teams.
• Develop staffing plans, resident service standards, and operational workflows.
• Manage budgeting, revenues, expenses, and vendor contracts.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and company policies.
