Job summary

Cardinal Group Companies is seeking a Community Manager for a New Development site in New York. The role oversees on-site operations during lease‑up and stabilization, directing leasing, maintenance, finances, administration, and risk management to protect and enhance property value while optimizing the resident experience.

The position reports to the Portfolio Manager and requires strong marketing, financial, and leadership skills to drive occupancy and maintain high service standards.

Qualifications

• Four years' experience in property management or related field.
• Strong knowledge of leasing, marketing, construction, and resident relations.
• Ability to analyze monthly financial statements and prepare budgets/forecasts.
• Excellent written and verbal communications; able to lead teams and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Establish leasing benchmarks and marketing plans to achieve occupancy goals.
• Coordinate grand opening events and establish partnerships for brand awareness.
• Analyze market trends to adjust strategy and stay competitive.
• Lead on-site maintenance, leasing, and office staff to meet financial/operational goals.
• Manage cash flow, leasing strategy, and receivables collection per lease obligations.
• Oversee resident relations, repairs requests, and rent-related issues.
• Participate in Cardinal U training and team development.
