A leading educational publishing company is seeking a Sales Professional to enhance partnerships with schools and districts. This role involves prospecting, qualifying leads, and collaborating with the sales team to promote Scholastic Reading Events. What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct prospecting to identify potential school and district partners through outbound calls, emails, and social media outreach
- Qualify leads by understanding their needs and setting up appointments for Account Managers
- Build relationships with educators and administrators, promoting the value of Scholastic Reading Events
- Maintain accurate records of interactions and track progress toward sales goals in the CRM system
- Collaborate with the sales team to enhance lead generation strategies and stay informed about industry trends
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of proven successful sales experience in retail, district/territory sales, event management, or customer service
- Proficiency in MS Office software and experience with Sales Automation or Customer Relationship Management systems
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with peers and customers
