Job summary

Gunderson Dettmer has an opening for a Business Acceptance Analyst. The role supports the Conflicts Attorney and Office of General Counsel by drafting engagement letters and conflicts waivers for new matters, while coordinating with New Business Acceptance and New Business Intake teams.

Responsibilities include reviewing letters, handling high volumes of correspondence, and assisting with training and research to ensure compliance and efficiency in client engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of two years’ legal experience, preferably in new business intake and/or conflicts in a mid to large-sized law firm.
• Knowledge of legal processes, business entities, and transactional concepts as they relate to conflicts of interest.
• Familiarity with ethics, risk management, and Rules of Professional Conduct.
• Experience with Intapp, Contract Express, iManage, and Aderant.

Responsibilities

• Draft and review engagement letters and conflict waivers.
• Prioritize and manage a high volume of emails related to conflicts and new client engagements.
• Manage partner requests for changes in client engagement letters.
• Assist in training others in drafting letters and waivers.
• Assist with research and various requests as needed.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
