Job summary

Herring Bank is seeking a New Accounts Specialist I to deliver exceptional customer service and support daily branch operations. You will handle routine banking transactions, assist with account openings, online banking support, and build customer relationships.

Ideal candidates bring retail banking experience, strong customer service skills, and the ability to perform banking transactions accurately while complying with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of retail banking experience.

Responsibilities

• Process retail transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and checks.
• Balance daily cash drawer and perform vault transactions within limits.
• Open and maintain consumer deposit accounts and CDs.
• Assist customers with online banking, bill pay, and password resets.
• Answer calls professionally and route inquiries appropriately.
• Greet customers and provide high-quality service; identify needs and refer to products/services.
• Perform wire transfers, stop payments, and help order checks and debit cards.
• Support ATM and safe deposit box procedures; follow BSA/AML and privacy laws.
