Job summary

Environmental Science Associates (ESA) seeks on-call archaeological field technicians to support Nevada projects requiring active construction site work, monitoring, testing, and data recovery. Preference for candidates with at least one year of field experience or related academic field experience, with ability to travel for overnight projects and stay in hotels as needed.

You should be comfortable working outdoors in varied environments, possess a valid driver’s license, and be able to lift up

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in archaeology/anthropology/paleontology/geology or related field.
• Ability to operate app-based field recordation software and mapping tools.
• Willingness to travel for overnight field projects.

Responsibilities

• Monitor construction activities and identify archaeological and/or paleontological resources.
• Communicate effectively with construction crews and project personnel.
• Write and maintain daily survey and monitoring logs and use GIS mapping tools.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks as needed.
