Job summary

Environmental Science Associates (ESA) is seeking on-call Archaeological Field Technicians to support Nevada projects. Candidates should have field experience, comfort with remote work sites, and willingness to travel for overnight stays.

Qualified applicants hold a bachelor's or higher in archaeology/anthropology/paleontology/geology and can use field data collection apps with GIS mapping. Travel reimbursements are provided and buses/4WD driving may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in archaeology/anthropology/paleontology/geology or related field.
• Experience using app-based field recording and mapping software.
• Willingness to travel with overnight stays; mileage and travel reimbursements provided.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds; comfortable working outdoors in various environments.
• Valid driver’s license and experience driving 4WD off-road.

Responsibilities

• Monitor construction activities and identify archaeological and/or paleontological resources.
• Effectively communicate with construction crews and project personnel.
• Write and maintain daily survey, monitoring, recordation, and cataloging logs; use electronic data collection tools and GIS mapping apps.
• Other ad-hoc tasks as needed.
