Job summary

Goldbelt Apex, LLC is seeking a Preclinical Laboratory Researcher to conduct original neuroscience research, including behavior, pathophysiology, and molecular mechanisms. The role involves literature reviews, data collection, management, and statistical analysis to support Blast-Induced Neurotrauma studies.

The candidate will lead research projects, coordinate staff, and perform surgical and histological techniques on animal subjects, contributing to translational insights for military medical

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Neurobiology or related field is preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in preclinical laboratory research.
• Ability to work with animal subjects and surgical techniques.
• Experience with tissue preparation and data analysis software.
• Proficiency in data collection, management and statistics.
• Ability to coordinate and direct research staff and experiments.
• Must be able to obtain government CAC.

Responsibilities

• Develop research proposals aligned with Blast-Induced Neurotrauma research.
• Prepare protocols for animal use and human subjects research objectives.
• Navigate IACUC and HURC for protocol approvals.
• Conduct literature reviews and develop summary reports on blast TBI research.
• Coordinate research projects and collaborate with researchers.
• Provide subject matter expertise in traumatic brain injury and polytrauma.
• Perform surgical procedures on animal subjects and evaluate therapies.
• Analyze molecular and cellular responses to stressors and injuries.
