The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine seeks a Research Assistant II to support the NeuroTrauma Department’s TBI research program at NMRC in Silver Spring, MD.

You will provide lab and technical support, perform standard research tasks, and assist with data collection and reporting under supervision. Responsibilities include conducting neural and cellular biology experiments, managing data, maintaining databases, and helping prepare reports and presentations

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in biology, neuroscience, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 3–5 years experience.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain a T1/Public Trust background check.
• Ability to work in a team as well as independently.
• Experience with molecular biology techniques such as PCR and ELISA; histology.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in executing research in traumatic brain injury and/or PTSD.
• Perform lab techniques in neuroscience and cellular/molecular biology.
• Maintain databases and ensure data confidentiality.
• Prepare reports, publications, and presentations.
• Train junior staff and coordinate meetings.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in laboratory areas.
