Goldbelt Apex is seeking a Preclinical Laboratory Researcher to conduct comprehensive preclinical studies, including neurobehavioral assessments and molecular analyses. The role involves literature integration, experimental design, data collection, and statistical analysis within a laboratory setting handling animal subjects.

Competenze

• PhD in Neuroscience, Neurobiology or related field preferred
• 3–5 years of preclinical laboratory research experience
• Experience with animal handling, aseptic procedures, and surgical techniques
• Experience with tissue preparation for light microscopy and data analysis software
• Strong literature review and scientific writing skills
• Ability to coordinate and lead research projects and teams

Mansioni

• Develop research proposals aligned with the military medical mission of Blast-Induced Neurotrauma research
• Prepare written animal use and/or human subject protocols for research objectives
• Navigate IACUC and HURC to obtain protocol approvals
• Conduct literature reviews and develop summary reports on blast TBI and polytrauma
• Coordinate research projects, including experiment design and supervision of research staff
• Provide subject matter expertise in traumatic brain injury and polytrauma
• Perform surgical procedures on animal subjects
• Evaluate neuroprotective therapies using various outcome measures
• Perform quantitative analyses of molecular and cellular responses
