CarePoint is seeking a Full Time Neurosurgery Physician Assistant to support Banner Northern Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, CO, with potential to assist at Banner Fort Collins Medical Center. The outpatient clinic-based role includes occasional OR and on-call coverage.

We have a Full Time Neurosurgery Physician Assistant position available at Banner Northern Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, CO, with potential to support to our Banner Fort Collins Medical Center location as well. We provide a full-service neurosurgery service line complete with acute hospital care and outpatient clinics. This position will be primarily an outpatient clinic-based role, but will assist in the OR/hospital when on call or covering for another PA.

• Clinic M-F
• 1:4 Weekends on call with the following Mon/Tues off
• One weeknight of call per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Neurosurgical care to adult patients
• Provide care for patients in a variety of settings including ED, ICU, trauma and medical floors, pre- and post- operative management, and clinic
• In clinic, must be comfortable seeing new patients, follow ups, post ops, and patients with/without images
• Must be able to work up patients for surgical plan independently to review with the surgeon
• Responsible for assisting in urgent bedside proceduresFirst Assist in OR
• Collaborate and support entire clinical team in supporting our patients
• Provide on call support in rotation with other PAs
• Call responsibilities include 1 weeknight per week (Mon-Thurs) and 1:4 weekends (Fri-Sun)

Compensation starts at $153,000 and goes up based on related experience.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication skills and computer skills as well as be able to perform all tasks with accuracy, is a team player, and has a positive attitude. In addition, we are looking for the following:

• Neurosurgery and/or Orthopedics surgerypreferred
• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
• MUST HAVE SURGICAL ASSIST CERTIFICATION IF YOU ARE AN NP
• Current and unrestricted DEA license
• Current BLS
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
