Palm Health Resources is seeking an experienced Neurosurgery Physician Assistant for a locum position in Western Colorado. This 6-month assignment requires 12-hour day or night shifts, 14 shifts per month, starting ASAP.

The role includes OR and rounding duties with trauma admissions. It offers 1099 compensation, housing, and travel support as part of the package, with malpractice coverage provided.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• BLS certification required.
• ATLS certification required.
• Colorado state license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advanced Neurosurgery PA with OR and rounding duties; participate in trauma admissions as part of the hospital admitting department.
• Provide compassionate patient care, coordinate with a multi-disciplinary team, support care plans, and assist with discharge planning.

General Duties will include OR, Rounding, and some admittances for Trauma Neuro. It is full time, 14 shifts per month, starting ASAP!

Job Responsibilities

• Advanced Neurosurgery PA with OR, Rounding – we are an admitting department for the hospital NOT just consulting. Be able to assist and manage patient care, OR procedures vary for Trauma – be able to assist the Surgeon for the Trauma needs
• Provides efficient and compassionate care for both the patient and their family utilizing multi-disciplinary approach through communication, continuity, coordination and evaluation. Provides relevant education and counseling to patients and families to support care plan, treatment, and discharge.
