Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advanced practice support to neurosurgeons in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Conduct pre‑operative and post‑operative evaluations, follow‑up visits, and patient education.
• Assist with hospital rounds, consults, and care coordination for neurosurgical patients.
• Manage acute and chronic neurosurgical conditions under physician supervision.
• Perform procedures within scope (e.g., wound care, suture removal, drain management).
• Document patient encounters accurately and maintain compliance with facility standards.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, care coordinators, and ancillary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Assignment Details

• Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8a-5p
• Setting: Inpatient and outpatient
• Patient Population: Adults
• Duties: Post-op appointments, inbasket management, and OR assistance
• Support Staff: MA
• EMR: Epic
• Must be board-certified
