Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum 2 years surgery scheduling/prior authorization experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective customer relation skills, ability to organize and interpret data.
• Good judgment, tact, diplomacy and problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient visits, tests, referrals and surgeries.
• Obtain pre-authorizations from insurance carriers.
• Verify eligibility and benefits with insurance carriers.
• Document communications in the EMR with HIPAA compliance.
• Escort patients, obtain vitals, and manage check-in/check-out duties.
• Maintain productivity and communicate changes to the team.
