UPMC Presbyterian is seeking a Full-Time Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician for the Neurosurgery (8D) unit. You will deliver routine patient care under RN guidance, assist with ADLs, monitor vital signs, collect specimens, and help ensure safety and timely documentation in a fast-paced neurosurgical setting.

The role involves rotating 12-hour shifts, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays, with a mandatory training course required for all hires.

Qualifikationen

• Mandatory training course to be completed by all hires.

Aufgaben

• Deliver routine patient care and support services under established policies.
• Ensure high-quality patient care under supervision of nurses/physicians.
• Assist with ADLs including bathing, feeding, transporting, toileting, ambulating, turning and monitoring blood glucose.
• Take vital signs, perform simple dressings, 12-lead EKGs, bladder scans, and specimen collection.
• Report equipment malfunctions and communicate with the healthcare team.
• Maintain patient and workplace safety, professionalism, and accurate documentation.
• Provide patient care and support therapies under RN guidance; complete clerical tasks as needed.
