Job summary

UPMC Presbyterian is seeking Nursing Assistants and Patient Care Technicians to support patient care on our units. You will work rotating 12‑hour shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays, with training provided for new hires.

A minimum of 1 year inpatient healthcare experience is required; Emergency medicine experience is highly preferred. Training and ladders for career growth are offered as part of UPMC's nursing support program.

Qualifications

• 1 year of inpatient healthcare experience required.
• Mandatory training course for inexperienced hires.
• Ability to perform ADLs, vital signs, and basic procedures per policy.
• BLS/CPR certification preferred or required per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine patient care and support department services per policies.
• Assist with ADLs (bathing, feeding, transport, toileting, ambulation).
• Record vital signs, EKGs, blood glucose, and collect specimens as directed.
