Job summary

Intermountain Health is building a Neuroscience Center of Excellence at Lutheran Medical Center in Wheat Ridge. You will support a Neurosurgeon's practice at Wheat Ridge Clinic and assist in surgical cases at Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, CO.

This full-time role involves a 5-day work week (M-F, 8-5) with call coverage about 7–8 days monthly, across weekdays, nights, weekends and holidays, and has opportunities to grow the Primary Care referral base within the Medical

Qualifications

• APRN or PA-C degree from an accredited program is required.
• Active, unobstructed Colorado medical license or ability to obtain one.
• BLS certification and DEA credentials.
• Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health's credentialing process.

• Support a Neurosurgeon's practice at Wheat Ridge Clinic.
• Assist in surgical cases at Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge.

You will be a part of creating a Neuroscience Center of Excellence at Lutheran Medical Center where you will help build on an already solid foundation of a broad continuum of care for brain and spine patients.

Here are just some of the highlights you can expect:

• Support a Neurosurgeon's practice at Wheat Ridge Clinic and assist in surgical cases at Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado
• This is a 5 day work week M-F, 8-5
• Provide call coverage in support of the neurosurgeon, approximately 7-8 days per month, including weekdays, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Growing Primary Care referral base within Intermountain Health Medical Group

An ideal candidate will have prior Neurosurgery and/or Orthopedic Spine Surgery APP experience.

Job duties (Physical requirements)

• Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
• Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
• Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
• Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
• Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc).
• May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
