Intermountain Health is seeking a trained APRN or PA-C to join the Neuroscience Center of Excellence at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver. You will support neurosurgical care, participate in surgical cases, and help grow the primary care referral network.

The role requires Colorado medical licensure, BLS and DEA, and credentialing participation as part of Intermountain Health’s process. Expected schedule is 5 days a week with occasional on-call coverage.

You will be a part of creating a Neuroscience Center of Excellence at St. Joseph Hospital where you will help build on an already solid foundation of a broad continuum of care for brain and spine patients. Here are some of the highlights you can expect:

• Support a Neurosurgeon's practice at St. Joseph Clinic and assist in surgical cases at Intermountain Health St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, CO
• This is a 5 day work week M-F
• Provide call coverage in support of the neurosurgeon, approximately 7 days per month, including weekdays, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Growing Primary Care referral base within Intermountain Health Medical Group

Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.

• Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
• Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
• Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
• Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc).
• May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
