Job summary

The Arkansas Neurosciences Institute (ANI) with CHI St. Vincent, part of CommonSpirit Health, seeks a Neurosurgery Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join a program led by Dr. Ali Krisht. New graduates are welcome and will receive mentorship.

You will provide advanced nursing care, perform assessments, prescribe under a physician collaborative practice, educate patients and families, and engage in department projects. Arkansas license, AGACNP, and BLS required. Competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Active or eligible Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) license in Arkansas.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced nursing care to patients with neurological conditions and support evolving treatment plans.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, establish diagnoses, and develop evidence-based interventions.
• Prescribe treatments and collaborate with the healthcare team for comprehensive patient care.
• Educate and counsel patients and families on neurological health and disease management.
• Evaluate outcomes and adapt treatment plans to optimize results.
• Perform medically delegated functions under physician supervision per collaboration agreement.
• Participate in clinic and hospital projects and leadership initiatives.

As our Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner, you will join the esteemed team at The Arkansas Neurosciences Institute (ANI) with CHI St. Vincent, playing a pivotal role in a comprehensive program covering all aspects of neurosurgery and neurological disorders. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside internationally renowned neurosurgeon Dr. Ali Krisht where new graduates are welcome to apply and will receive comprehensive training and mentorship.

To be successful in this role, you will be a compassionate and driven Acute Care Nurse Practitioner passionate about neurosciences and dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. In your role, you will:

• Provide advanced nursing care to patients with a wide range of neurological conditions and support their evolving treatment plans.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, establish accurate diagnoses, and develop individualized, evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Prescribe treatments and collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure seamless and comprehensive patient care.
• Educate and counsel individuals, families, and groups on health promotion, disease management, and maintenance specific to neurological disorders.
• Evaluate patient health outcomes and adapt treatment plans as needed to optimize results.
• Perform medically delegated functions under the direction of a physician, as outlined in your collaborative practice agreement.
• Actively participate in clinic and hospital department projects and committees, contributing to program development and leadership initiatives.
• Take responsibility for clearly communicating patient needs, care plans, and problem resolution to physicians and other healthcare teams.

*Pay Range*

$116,792 - $160,555 /year
