CHI St. Vincent Infirmary is seeking a Medical Surgical Nurse to deliver compassionate, high-quality care that supports patient well-being and recovery.

You will work with the surgical and nursing team to communicate care details, perform assessments, and implement care plans while addressing patients' emotional and informational needs. We provide training through residency for new acute-care nurses and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Unencumbered RN license in Arkansas.
• At least 6 months acute care experience required.
• Orthopedic/nerve experience preferred but not required.
• BLS certification via American Heart Association required.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our *Medical Surgical Nurse* at CHI St Vincent Infirmary, you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.

Your success in this role comes from working well with the surgical and nursing team to communicate details while paying close attention to the emotional and informational needs of the patient. You do not need previous experience in an orthopedic unit to be successful in this role, but enthusiasm to help others is mandatory. We’ll teach you everything you need to know, which makes this a perfect starting point to launch your nursing career.

Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. You'll collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes.

We are offering a *sign on bonus up to $25,000 *to hires who meet the eligibility requirements. We also offer additional pay for participation in our clinical ladder program as well as referral bonuses, excellent benefits, tuition reimbursement and relocation assistance.

Job Requirements

• Unencumbered license to practice as an RN in the State of Arkansas
• 6 months of acute care experience is required (new graduates or nurses who have never worked in an acute care setting are hired through our residency training program)
• Previous ortho/neuro experience is preferred, but not required
• BLS through the American Heart Association is required

$33.25 - $44.89 /hour
