Job summary

This is a full-time Medical Assistant position at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona. The role assists clinicians and nursing staff, performs vital signs, supports examinations, and helps ensure timely patient care in a collaborative clinic setting.

Minimum qualifications include completing an approved MA training program, active MA certification (RMA/CMA/CCMA/NCMA) with BLS, and strong computer and communication skills. Registry/Per Diem options are available with flexible schedules.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program as defined by state regulations.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification is required (RMA, CMA, CCMA or NCMA) with proof of current membership where applicable.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams by recording vital signs and chief complaints, and document pain scores.
• Assist providers with exams and minor procedures and manage patient flow in the clinic.
• Coordinate referrals, scheduling, and communicate test results to patients.
• Provide clerical support and ensure accurate medical records and billing information.
