Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification is required.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong computer skills with medical software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exam by taking and recording vital signs and chief complaint.
• Assist providers with exams and minor in-office procedures.
• Coordinate pre-certifications, referrals, authorizations, prescriptions and scheduling.
• Provide clerical support and ensure accurate charting and billing information.
• Maintain clean and disinfected clinical environment and equipment.
