Banner Staffing Services-AZ is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians and nursing staff in Mesa, AZ. The role involves patient preparation, vital signs, basic procedures, and coordination of care within a fast-paced clinic environment.

Requirements include High school diploma or GED, approved MA training, and active MA certification with BLS. Per diem/weekday shifts with orientation and ongoing training provided by Banner Health.

Qualifications

• Active Medical Assistant Certification is required.
• BLS certification required.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program as defined by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams by taking vital signs and recording symptoms.
• Assist providers with exams and minor in-office procedures (EKGs, phlebotomies).
• Coordinate patient care including scheduling, referrals, and test results communication.
• Maintain medical records, citations, and billing information for encounters.
• Assist with clerical tasks and ensure a clean, safe clinical environment.
• Onboard/orientation activities and simulate training as needed.
