Qualifications

• Proficient with commonly used office software.

Responsibilities

• Schedules appointments for specialty physician services and diagnostic testing; communicates with patients for scheduling.
• Acts as liaison between patients, providers and staff for referral and follow-up needs.
• Provides clinical information for payor authorization; verifies coverage and communicates with facilities.
• Tracks and manages referrals; follows up at 30/60/90 day intervals.
• Maintains knowledge of medical terminology; stays updated on insurance regulations.
• Collaborates with outside referral sources and community resources.
• Communicates with patients, physicians, staff, and third-party payers; prioritizes tasks within guidelines.
