Department Overview

The Neurodevelopmental Services Program is a part of the Mental Health Continuum at Children’s Minnesota. Neurodevelopmental Services is focused on providing assessment, diagnosis and care for children with a variety of neurodevelopmental and medical conditions. The team is comprised of psychologists, neuropsychologists and developmental behavioral pediatricians and we work closely with providers across the mental health continuum and with specialty medical providers throughout our organization. Neuropsychological assessment is provided across both the Minneapolis and St. Paul campuses, and this role will be located primarily in Minneapolis.

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate pediatric neuropsychologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing assessment and diagnostic services for children and adolescents with a variety of neurodevelopmental, neurological and psychological conditions. The neuropsychologist will complete comprehensive evaluations, synthesize and interpret results and provide feedback and guidance to caregivers, referring providers, educational teams and other stakeholders. A primary focus of this position will be working closely with our Pediatric Cardiovascular Program and our Intensive Care Follow-up Clinics, among other referring clinics. This includes opportunities to follow patients from early childhood through young adulthood, following children with pediatric and congenital heart disease, and with complex birth histories related to prematurity and other complications. The position offers opportunities for direct research collaboration with the Cardiac Neurodevelopmental Outcome Collaborative (CNOC).

• Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Psychology (clinical, school or other appropriate area of psychology) from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an APA‑accredited internship
• Completion of a 2 year postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology
• Licensed or license‑eligible in Minnesota
• Experience with a wide range of pediatric populations and neurodevelopmental conditions (e.g. ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, genetic or other medical conditions impacting development)
• Strong assessment, diagnostic and report‑writing skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility in Clinical Neuropsychology
• Experience working in interdisciplinary or medical settings

The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. Annual salaries displayed are based on full‑time employment (40 standard hrs per week). Annual salaries for part‑time positions will be prorated based on the employee’s scheduled weekly hours in relation to the full‑time standard. When determining individual pay rates, we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, internal equity and organizational needs.

In addition to your salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night, weekend or on‑call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
