Mass General Brigham's Neurology Stroke Division seeks a friendly Practice Assistant II to support patients, providers, and clinical staff in a busy, specialized setting. This hybrid role combines administrative duties with direct patient interaction to ensure smooth scheduling, registration, and billing workflows.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2–3 years of office experience is required.
• Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) certification preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with standard office procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication with patients, providers, and colleagues.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key contact for patients, guiding scheduling and check-in/out.
• Coordinate patient appointments and maintain scheduling records.
• Process patient billing forms and scan documents into the EMR.
• Manage patient communications on authorizations, refills, and test results.
• Support daily administrative operations and maintain patient records.
• Collect co-payments and assist with registration and billing.
• Serve as a Super User for scheduling, registration, and billing systems.
• Collaborate with neurologists and staff to ensure smooth practice operations.
