Banner Health seeks an experienced Patient Care Coordinator in Neurology at the Scottsdale facility. The role focuses on guiding patients and families through intake, insurance verification, authorizations, scheduling, and documentation, collaborating with the clinical care team to ensure a smooth treatment journey.

Training will occur at Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix until the Scottsdale facility opens in early 2027.

Competenze

Requires high school diploma or GED.
3+ years in a hospital or medical office setting.
Knowledge of medical terminology and terminology related to insurance/medical records.

Handle patient intake and pre-registration/registration with clinical care team.
Verify insurance coverage and obtain required authorizations; document into EMR and billing systems.
Provide administrative support: records, reports, correspondence, and scheduling in a medical office setting.
Schedule appointments, tests, procedures, and surgeries; provide patient preparation instructions.
Serve as liaison among patient, billing, and payor to resolve issues and optimize reimbursement.
Enhance patient experience through effective communication and coordination across departments.
Manage medical records coordination with hospitals and clinics and ensure compliance.
