Job summary

Inova Neurology - Dumfries, VA is seeking a dedicated Patient Access Associate 2 to join the team. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional coverage at Neurology offices in Alexandria and Fairfax, VA.

You will assist with admitting/scheduling, insurance verifications, and financial counseling while upholding Service Excellence standards. You should have a High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of healthcare patient access experience, or related revenue cycle

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of healthcare patient access experience, or 1 year in healthcare revenue cycle, or a bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Admit and schedule patients.
• Verify insurance coverage and explain benefits.
• Provide financial counseling to patients.
• Communicate scheduling changes to patients, staff, physicians and representatives.
• Identify payroll authorization and referral requirements to patients.
• Maintain accurate workflow and improve efficiency.
• Escalate problems when needed to achieve resolution.
