Cleveland Clinic's Neurological Institute in Cleveland is seeking an Outpatient Clinical Care Assistant to join a world-class healthcare system expanding new facilities. You will perform health screenings, collect specimens, update health records, and support patient flow in an outpatient clinic under RN/LIP supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Understanding of anatomy, basic patient care activities and math.
• BLS Certification through AHA or Red Cross within new hire period.
• One year of healthcare experience in hospital/ambulatory or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in outpatient clinic under RN or LIP supervision.
• Complete rooming with vitals, height, weight, intake questions, documentation and reporting abnormal findings.
• Collect patient specimens, perform point-of-care testing and prepare specimens for lab transport.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist with tests and procedures (EKG, Holter, pulse oximetry, screening).
• Administer treatments and dressings, apply/remove casts and splints as directed.
• Review printed instructions with patients.
• Assist with wound care and documentation in the EHR.
• Assist with setting and closing the clinic, stocking supplies.
• Clean, monitor expiration dates, restock dressing carts, check AED units and oxygen tanks.
• Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.
