Join Cleveland Clinic’s Main Campus in Cleveland, OH, as an Outpatient Clinical Care Assistant - Pediatrics. You will support the pediatric clinic operations, assist with basic patient care activities under RN or LIP supervision, and work with a dedicated nursing team across five pods.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• BLS certification through AHA or American Red Cross within new hire period.
• One year recent health care experience in a hospital, ambulatory, homecare, or long-term care setting.

Responsibilities

• Complete rooming process, including vitals and intake; report abnormal findings to RN/LIP.
• Collect patient specimens, perform Point of Care Testing, and prepare specimens for lab transport.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist with exams, tests and procedures using sterile techniques as applicable.
• Assist with patient treatments such as heat/cold application, wound care, and casting or splinting.
• Assist with EKGs, Holter monitor application, pulse oximetry, and screening tasks.
• Document in EHR and assist with care gaps and clinic setup/closing.
• Stock supplies, maintain clean work areas, and manage clerical duties like scheduling and registration.
