Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA seeks a part-time Registered Nurse for 4 West, Acute Care Neurology/Neurosurgery, Per Diem. The role involves direct patient care planning, assessment, and discharge coordination in a high-acuity unit. On-site, with a flexible mix of 4, 8, and 12-hour shifts.

The ideal candidate holds MA nursing licensure, BLS, and preferably an BSN, with strong clinical knowledge and teamwork skills to support exceptional patient care and safety.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is a requirement for every RN unless ACLS is current, in addition to any unit specific certifications and competencies.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for delivery and management of patient care.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment according to standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluate nursing care within assigned clinical setting.
• Delegates appropriately to others in accordance with job description and competency level.
