Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for 4 West, Acute Care Neurology/Neurosurgery, in Worcester, MA. This part-time night position (7pm-7:30am) on the 12-hour night shift offers on-site work and opportunities to contribute to direct patient care in a high-acuity setting.

Responsibilities include using the Nursing Process from admission to discharge, performing assessments, coordinating discharge planning, and supervising nursing care within the unit.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred if current.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for the delivery and management of patient care from Admission to Discharge.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment according to standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within the assigned clinical setting.
• Delegates appropriately to others in accordance with job description and competency level.
