Atrius Health, part of the Optum family, seeks a Medical Assistant to support clinicians with routine procedures and pre-visit testing. You will prepare patients, record vitals, and keep EMR data up to date, while ensuring efficient patient flow and high-quality care.

Formación

• Computer experience required.
• High School diploma or equivalency.
• Medical Assistant Certification required or preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provides efficient flow of patients to optimize appointment availability.
• Greets and escorts patients to exam rooms according to policy and procedures.
• Prepare patient for examination; measures vital signs (BP, pulse, weight, height).
• Assist clinicians with routine clinical procedures and required pre-visit testing for exams.
• Ensure EMR is updated with recent testing and clinician notes.
• Reconcile medications and manage refills; discontinue inactive prescriptions.
• Assist in resolving patient concerns as appropriate.
• Orders and performs waived point‑of‑care testing (strep, urine, hCG, glucose).
