Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support a Neurology specialty clinic. The role involves rooming patients, taking vital signs, assisting with procedures, and performing basic lab tasks in a fast-paced clinic setting.

You will work M-F, 8am-5pm, 40 hours per week, with a pay range of $21.85–$32.80 per hour. Requires BLS and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or DD214 in lieu of formal training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or DD214 in lieu of formal program.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows policies.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks including vital signs and history.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Performs venipuncture, specimen labeling, and POCT tests.
• Administers medications and vaccines per rights of administration.
• Maintains clean, stocked work environment and safe patient handling.
• Must provide age-appropriate patient care and communicate effectively.
