Advocate Health in North Carolina seeks a full-time Medical Assistant for the High Point Group Practice. This role supports neurology and general patient care, performing rooming tasks, vital signs, history taking, and specimen collection while coordinating with clinicians.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program, AHA BLS, and 2 years of clinical experience. The position offers comprehensive benefits and a stable schedule Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required.
• Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization may be required within 1 year in select areas.
• Successful completion of Atrium Health’s competency assessment.
• Two years of experience in a clinical practice setting as a Medical Assistant.
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities to perform routine and complex technical skills.

Responsabilités

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows policies.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks including vital signs, med reconciliation, history, screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Performs venipuncture and specimen collection and labeling.
• conducts CLIA-waived tests and maintains quality standards.
• Administers medications and vaccines safely.
• Handles scheduling, referrals, and patient messaging as needed.
• Demonstrates effective communication and teamwork.
