Banner Health is seeking a Medical Assistant within Banner Staffing Services-AZ in Mesa, AZ. This registry/per diem role supports clinicians and nursing staff to deliver timely patient care under provider supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and completion of an approved medical assistant training program.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification is required; BLS certification is required.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and work under provider supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams by taking and recording vital signs and chief complaints.
• Assist providers with exams and minor in-office procedures including EKGs and phlebotomy.
• Coordinate care with pre-certifications, referrals, authorizations, prescriptions, and scheduling.
• Provide clerical support and ensure accurate medical records and billing data.
• Maintain clean, disinfected exam rooms and equipment per OSHA guidelines.
• Order supplies and manage medications and recalls as directed.
