Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; completion of an approved MA training program required.
• Active Medical Assistant certification per state requirements; BLS preferred.
• Strong computer and EMR/scheduling software proficiency; excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams by taking vital signs and documenting complaints.
• Assist clinicians with exams, injections, phlebotomy and basic procedures as needed.
• Coordinate patient care including referrals, authorizations and scheduling.
• Maintain medical records, labs, imaging results and billing information.
• Ensure clean, stocked exam rooms; manage supplies and equipment maintenance.
• Communicate test results and provide patient-centered care with sensitivity.
