Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Neurology/Med Surg at Springfield Regional Medical Center. You will provide patient care using the nursing process, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and support discharge planning and education.

The role requires an active RN license, BLS, and 1 year of RN experience in acute care; BSN preferred. This department focuses on compassionate, patient-centered care within a faith-based health system.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state they are working
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire)
• ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support acceptable in lieu of BLS
• RN-BC, CCRN, PCCN, CMSRN, NIH Stroke Certification preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred

Responsibilities

• The RN delivers care as part of a multidisciplinary team, using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation)
• Maintains current nursing care plans for assigned patients and supports discharge planning and education
• Administers medications safely in line with hospital policies and procedures
• Acts as a patient safety advocate and collaborates with spiritual care, palliative care and ethics as needed
