Job summary

UW Health in Madison is seeking a Clinic Support Technician to handle routine scheduling, assist with specimen collection including nasopharyngeal swabs, and administer medications under supervision. The role includes checking in patients, recording vital signs, allergies, and current medications, and preparing patients for examinations as needed.

The position is full-time, day shift, Monday–Friday, with a focus on accurate documentation and patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Clinical health care experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire required.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine scheduling activities.
• Assist with nasopharyngeal swabbing tests and other specimen collection.
• Administer medication, including injections, under supervision.
• Perform patient check in, including obtaining and recording vital sign measurements, allergies, and current medications.
• Prepare patient for examination/procedure, as appropriate.
