Job summary

Madison Health is seeking a Part-time Patient Access Technician to support the pre-registration process for inpatients and outpatient testing, ensuring accurate patient information and adherence to hospital policies.

This role requires working the listed hours on Tue/Wed/Thu 7am-11am (one day), Fri 9:00am–7:00pm and Sat 9:00am–5:00pm at the Urgent Care, with possible additional hours and on-call availability for Saturday night and Sunday. The position pays $17.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients or their representative to obtain personal information or verify information on file, including emergency numbers and insurance information.
• Pre-registers patients for scheduled admissions and outpatient procedures, verifying insurance information and ensuring complete orders.
• Provides patient notifications regarding patient rights and assists with the Advance Directive process.
• Assists with collecting copayments and/or coinsurance at time of service and records payments.
