Job summary

GHR Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Office Assistant / Medical Receptionist for an on-site neurology clinic in Farmington, CT. You will support patient scheduling, front-desk operations, check-in/check-out, and triage calls in a patient-facing role.

Responsibilities include EPIC scheduling, verifying demographics and insurance, and coordinating referrals and prior authorizations to ensure smooth clinic flow.

Qualifications

• EPIC EMR experience required.
• Scheduling medical appointments in a clinical setting.
• Familiarity with neurology clinic workflows and office procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients at front desk and provide courteous access.
• Schedule and coordinate neurology appointments in EPIC and related systems.
• Check in/out patients and verify demographics and insurance.
• Answer and triage calls according to clinic procedures.
• Assist with insurance communications, referrals and prior authorizations.
• Enter and update patient information in EPIC.
• Maintain organized daily clinic workflow.
