Position Summary
The Division ofHealth Sciences is currently seeking a RegisteredPolysomnographic Technologist ( RPSGT ) to teach in the CAAHEP-accredited Polysomnography Certificate Program, a one-year programthat prepares students for entry-level roles in sleep medicine.This faculty member will work closely with the program director toteach coursework in the program while guiding students inperforming and analyzing polysomnographic tests. Responsibilitiesinclude delivering lectures, overseeing hands-on training, andpreparing students for clinical practice.
The starting pay for Adjunct Faculty is $1,046 per credit hourassigned to teach.

Principal Accountabilities
- Adjunct faculty teach curriculum developed by thedepartment
- Plan and organize instruction in ways which maximize studentlearning
- Prepare and provide syllabi for all assigned sections inaccordance with department and divisional policies
- Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies, useavailable instruction technology when appropriate
- Modify, where appropriate, instructional methods and strategiesto meet diverse students’ needs
- Support classroom and online efforts to promote studentsuccess
- Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promotelearning
- Maintain accurate records of student progress
- Submit final grade rosters according to establisheddeadlines
- Maintain confidentiality of student information
- Adjunct Faculty cannot be assigned to teach more than themaximum of 12 credit hours per semester
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must hold at least one of the following: RegisteredElectroencephalographic Technologist (R. EEG .T) or RegisteredEvoked Potential technologist (R.EP.T) credential or RegisteredNerve Conduction Study Technologist (R. NCS .T), or Certified NerveConduction Technologist ( CNCT ), or Certification inNeurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring ( CNIM )
- Minimum of one year of work experience as a neurodiagnostictechnologist required
- Evidence of successful prior teaching experience ispreferred
- Demonstrated commitment to improving student learning throughinnovative strategies shown to help students succeed at the courseand program level
- Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills withthe capacity to work successfully in a culturally diverse collegecommunity
- Must possess demonstrated skills in using modern educationaltechnology, including multimedia-based instruction
