Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a Neurodiagnostic Technologist to perform EEG, NCV, and EP procedures across multiple sites. The role requires a Neurodiagnostic program background, BLS, and EEG registry eligibility with ABRET certification planned within timelines.

A full-time schedule provides M-F 8a-5p, 40 hours per week, with competitive compensation. Responsibilities include operating Neurodiagnostic equipment, maintaining accurate records, and mentoring new staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; graduate from accredited Neurodiagnostic program with 3 years of experience preferred.
• BLS required.
• EEG registry or eligibility for EEG registry preferred.
• Board eligibility for ABRET certification in EEG within 2 years of hire and registry prep within 3 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and complex EEG procedures, NCV, EP and related studies.
• Identifies and corrects basic equipment issues.
• Uses test strategy, electrode montages and calibration for Neurodiagnostic procedures.
• Extracts patient information from medical records and updates the report.
• Adopts methods to obtain optimal results based on history and findings.
• Maintains ABRET standards and complete record keeping.
• Provides supervision to new technologists and interns.
• Assists with ordering and maintaining department supplies.
