Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Neurodiagnostic Technologist for the Wake Forest Health Network in High Point, NC. The role involves performing EEG, NCV, EP and related neurodiagnostic procedures across multiple sites, with emphasis on safety and quality.

Requires a Neurodiagnostic program credential and BLS; EEG registry eligibility preferred. Board eligibility for ABRET EEG within 2 years is required, with ongoing prep within 3 years. Full-time, 40 hours per week, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Neurodiagnostic program graduate with 3 years experience preferred.
• BLS required.
• EEG registry or eligibility for EEG registry preferred.
• Board eligibility for ABRET certification in EEG within 2 years of hire; ongoing EEG board prep within 3 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and complex EEG procedures, NCV, EP and related tests.
• Operates and troubleshoots neurodiagnostic equipment as needed.
• Obtains patient history and transfers to technologist's report.
• Adopts test strategies and electrode montages to obtain optimal results.
• Adheres to ABRET standards and maintains records.
• Assists with long term monitoring and intraoperative neuromonitoring as appropriate.
• Responds to seizures and other medical emergencies.
• Maintains infection control and proper handling of hazardous materials.
• Provides preceptor supervision to new technologists and interns.
• Participates in ordering and maintaining supplies for the department.
