Job summary

Overland Park Regional Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician Neuro Trauma to join our team. The role focuses on patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery in a busy acute care setting.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 1+ years in acute care preferred, and a Kansas CNA license or completion of the HCA PCT Essentials training, plus BCLS on hire. Orientation is 2 weeks before transitioning to 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of experience in an acute care setting (preferred).
• Kansas CNA license required or completion of the HCA Patient Care Tech Essentials training.
• BCLS certification required upon hire.
• Must complete PCT Orientation (2 full weeks, Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm before transitioning to 12-hr shifts on floor). October start dates.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery.
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
• Full-time DAY Schedule: 6:45a-7:15p; 3 12-hr shifts weekly plus rotating weekends.
