Job summary

Overland Park Regional Medical Center is hiring a Patient Care Technician Neuro Trauma to support patient preparation, mobility and comfort. The role supports non-medicated care, cleans and stocks areas, and ensures efficient operations on the floor.

Responsibilities include managing supplies, equipment, logs for infection control, and clear communication with patients, families and the care team during day shifts. Prior acute care experience is preferred; CNA license or PCT training required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Kansas CNA license or completion of PCT Essentials training.
• BCLS certification required upon hire.
• Two full weeks of orientation before starting 12-hr shifts.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assistingwith patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked tomaintainsafety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality
• Full-time DAY Schedule: 6:45a-7:15p; 3 12-hr shifts weekly plus rotating weekends

What qualifications you will need:

• A minimum of a High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of experience in an acute care setting, Preferred.
• Kansas Certified Nursing Assistant License required or completion of the HCA Patient Care Tech Essentials training.
• BCLS certification required upon hire.
• Must be able to complete PCT Orientation (2 full weeks, Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm before transitioning to 12-hr shifts on floor). October start dates.
