Job summary

AdventHealth Overland Park in Kansas is seeking a Patient Care Technician for full-time night shift. You will assist in delivering patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse and perform vital signs documentation in the EMR.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1+ PCT experience preferred, BLS CPR, and preferred CNA/CPCT/A/NCPCT/EMT certifications. You will join a team dedicated to compassionate care and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or equivalent required.
• 1+ applicable PCT experience preferred.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• CNA/CPCT/A/NCPCT/EMT certifications preferred.
• Good communication and ability to work with healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient care under licensed nurse supervision.
• Accurately measure vital signs and document in the EMR.
• Follow policy for procedures and safety.
• Maintain a clean and safe patient environment.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and support quality standards.
• Adhere to CDC isolation guidelines and proper PPE use.
• May perform point-of-care testing per competency.
• Demonstrate AdventHealth’s core values through behavior.
